Clearing cracked slabs near James Logan
A homeowner in Town Estates needed to rip out a cracked driveway apron that had been shifting for years. The slab was six inches thick with rebar, and the pieces were too heavy to haul manually to the street. Leaving that jagged concrete exposed created a safety hazard for the neighborhood kids walking to James Logan High School nearby.
I delivered a reinforced 10-yard concrete dumpster, placing it on wooden skids to protect the existing pavement from the steel rollers. The low sides on this specific bin made it easy for them to toss in the heavy chunks without straining their backs. Once they filled it to the "clean fill" line, I hauled it straight to the recycler.
Mateo dropped the bin right where we needed it, saving us from hauling heavy rubble to the curb.
